Douhe Power Plant is located in Kaiping district of Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Douhe Power Plant was estabilshed in December 1973, and its projects, were divided into four phases. All 8 generating units were completed and put into operation on October 8th,1987 with total installed capacity of 1550MW comprising two 125MW units, two 250MW units and four 200MW units. Dou He Power Plant was named as the "First Class coal-fired Power Plant" by the State Power Corporation in 1998. Power generated by Dou He Power Plant is supplied to the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Power Grid via fourteen 220 kV transmission lines.
