Shanxi Datang Yungang Thermal Power Company Limited is located in Datong Shanxi Province. The project commenced construction in August, 2002 and its two 220MW units were put into commercial operation in November and December of 2003, respectively. Shanxi Datang Yungang Thermal Power Company Limited took less than 20 months for the two units to start generating power since the commencement of their foundational works, setting a new record of construction progress for large-scale domestic direct air-cooling units in cold regions. All power output is supplied via two 220kV transmission lines to the Shanxi Grid.
